# Bridge

Have tokens on other chains but want to use them in Oasis DeFi? GemKeeper works with our bridge partners to support tokens bridged from **Ethereum**, **BSC**, **Arbitrum**, **Avalanche**, and **Polygon.** Currently Supported Tokens for Bridging to and from Oasis:

* **Ethereum** USDT, LINK, USDC, and wETH,
* **Binance Smart Chain** BNB and BUSD

**Requirements**

* A wallet with networks on both chains
* Gas tokens (of the chain you're bridging from and bridging to, e.g. bridging from Ethereum to Oasis Emerald requires ETH and ROSE)
* If you have no ROSE to pay the bridging fees check out our [faucet](https://app.gitbook.com/s/9uUFQ8EPsIgvjxduytLC/~/changes/CBzcF729bKTa8xdaAxMg/gem-keeper/faucet)

## How it Works <a href="#how-it-works" id="how-it-works"></a>

Bridging (not to be confused with swapping), is the process of moving a token from one chain to the other. This process requires 2 transactions, depositing the token onto the bridge, if there is enough liquidity, then it will transfer the token to your destination chain into your wallet. Because the transactions are done on two chains, this could take **10min \~ 24 hours depending on the traffic**. During this process, you can check on your deposit transaction hashes for the status.&#x20;

## Bridge Partners <a href="#how-to-bridge" id="how-to-bridge"></a>

Currently GemKeeper is partnered with two bridges, Multichain and Wormhole

## How to Bridge <a href="#how-to-bridge" id="how-to-bridge"></a>

![](https://3455652524-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9uUFQ8EPsIgvjxduytLC%2Fuploads%2FEDjBGCNYjtnBMSH9hWqW%2Fimage.png?alt=media\&token=fc35e5ff-2351-4328-80f7-a886f2c5b738)

### 1. Select Networks for Bridge Direction <a href="#id-1.-select-networks-for-bridge-direction" id="id-1.-select-networks-for-bridge-direction"></a>

First, select the networks you’d like to bridge to and from. **One of the networks must be Oasis** as the GemKeeper bridge does not support bridging ETH -> BSC or BSC -> ETH. For this example, let's say the direction is Oasis to Ethereum. In the "From Chain "dropdown, select Oasis Emerald, in the "To Chain" dropdown, select Ethereum.

### 2. Select Token to Bridge <a href="#id-2.-select-token-to-bridge" id="id-2.-select-token-to-bridge"></a>

In the "Token to Bridge" field, select a token that you’d like to bridge. In the above example we have chose USDC.

### 3. Enter the Amount <a href="#id-3.-enter-the-amount" id="id-3.-enter-the-amount"></a>

Check that the amount you've entered is within the minimum and maximum supported by Multichain. In this example we have chosen to enter 500 LINK tokens to be bridged from Ethereum to Oasis. Fees for bridging will be dependent on the original and destination chain as well as which token is being bridged.

### 4. Click “Bridge Token” <a href="#id-4.-click-bridge-token" id="id-4.-click-bridge-token"></a>

Metamask will ask you to confirm your action. There will be **2 transactions, one going out from the "From" chain (in this case Ethereum) and one accepting into the "To" chain (in this case Oasis Emerald).** The received amount will automatically deduct the price of the fee. You will see that 4.8 LINK is deductedi in the above example \
**NOTE: You will receive the same token you bridged!**

### 5. View Your Bridged Token <a href="#id-5.-view-your-bridged-token" id="id-5.-view-your-bridged-token"></a>

Check your transactions activity history on Oasis Emerald Explorer to see if it arrived. To view the token you've just bridged over on your wallet, **connect your wallet to Emerald Mainnet**, and **add the ability to display** the token that you bridged:

1. 1.Go to Swap
2. 2.Click on a token button to summon the token selection list
3. 3.Find the token you've just bridged, or import it with its address on Emerald
4. 4.Click on the "+" to add to your wallet display

If your bridge transactions are stuck, you can check the Bridge FAQs.

### 6. After Bridging to Emerald? <a href="#id-6.-after-bridging-to-fantom" id="id-6.-after-bridging-to-fantom"></a>

You've check that your lovely tokens have successfully crossed the bridge on the Emerald Explorer! Welcome to Oasis. What now? If you were looking forward to trade some tokens, or farm, just like any other chain, **you'd need some ROSE for gas to perform transactions.** Luckily you can get some free gas from the [GemKeeper Faucet](https://app.gitbook.com/s/9uUFQ8EPsIgvjxduytLC/~/changes/CBzcF729bKTa8xdaAxMg/gem-keeper/faucet).
